10 Events You Don’t Want to Miss This Christmas In Dublin
#1. Wild Light at Dublin Zoo
Where: Dublin Zoo
When: Friday, 3rd Nov 2017 – Sunday, 7th January 2018
This is reportedly a must-see event for all the family boasting an impressive light display of different animals. There are also market stalls and food to enjoy while you are there.
Tickets are available to purchase online. The cost does not include entry to see the zoo animals.

Aladdin is a classic pantomime loved by kids and adults. It’s fun, entertaining and a great day out for all the family.
#3. Santa Dash Dublin 5 K and 10 K

If you are feeling energetic then you can do a 5k or 10k run, including free Santa suit, custom medal and tea and snacks.
Bonus is the real Santa will also be there in his Igloo!
#4. The Dublin Visitor Centre Christmas Experience
Where: City Sightseeing Dublin 14 O’Connell Street Upper, North City, Dublin 1
When: 17th – 22nd of December
Take a magical bus tour of Dublin with Santa including a Christmas sing song and story-telling. You will be dropped off at Santa’s workshop to meet the elves and take part in the fun activities.
#5. Winter Funderland
Where: RDS, Ballsbridge, Dublin
When: Opens 14th Dec – 14th Jan
Funderland Indoor Pavilion opens 2-9pm Mon to Fri and 12noon -10pm Sat & Sun and during the School Holidays.
The Ice Rink opens Pre-Christmas at 10:00am Mon through to Fri, and 10:00am on Sat & Sun and during School Holidays. Post-Christmas the hourly sessions commence at 11:00am up to 9:00pm. The ice skating session times are hourly, on the hour and are 45 minutes duration.
The Christmas Market opens 12:00pm to 8:00pm daily Mon through to Fri and from 11:00am to 8:00pm on Sat & Sun and during School Holidays.
#6. The Helix Christmas Panto
Where: Helix, Dublin
When: From 24th Nov – 21st Jan
This year’s panto is an adaptation of Beauty and the Beast.
#7. Santa At Hamleys Toy Store
Where: Hamleys Toy Store
When: From 26th Nov – 24th Dec
You can visit Santa and then browse the store for lots of Christmas gifts.
#8. Christmas at Farmleigh (Phoenix Park)
Where: Located in Phoenix Park in Dublin
When: 2nd Dec – 17th Dec
For children there are Magic Shows and Puppet Shows as well as Christmas Tales from.
You can also enjoy Horse and Carriage Rides and a Live Crib and there is a Children’s Christmas Room in the house.
There is also a Food Market and Festive Choirs singing Carols.

#10. Santa at the DSPCA
Where: Rathfarnham, Dublin 16.
When: 16th and 17th Dec
Children that book in to see Santa will receive a personalised Letter from Santa, a special gift given to them by Santa, and a place at our special Storytime. Free teas/coffees or hot chocolate for all who visit Santa and some free goodies for you and a treat take home to your pet.
